Excellent Adventure 2 "SC Street Fair"

55th Annual Fiesta Street Fair
San Clemente, CA

History: Way back in 1954, the little beach town of San Clemente decided to hold its first "Fiesta" Street Fair... which was attended by a few hundred locals...

Over the next 54 years, word spread and popularity grew... just a bit... and today an estimated 25,000 or so attend the one-day event.

With that in mind, we headed for this year's 2009 San Clemente Fiesta and 55th Annual Street Fair for Excellent Adventure 2... with road trip "buddies" Martha and Jeff...

Around 12 noon, we met up at Don's house for refreshments out on the deck... ah-h-h-h, Pacifico Mexican beer with lime... (it's not just for breakfast anymore)...

This is Don's parrot... "Casanova"... he likes women... (thus the name)... and he likes Martha...

And... Martha likes Casanova...

Then, we headed down the coast to San Clemente...

Entering the downtown fun zone...

"Careful, Rocco... huge plate glass store window dead ahead... ( I better take a picture for insurance purposes )"...

We are there... "yikes !"

"Hey look... it's the Oscar Mayer Hot-Dog-Mobile... or is it the Frank-Mobile... can't remember"...

Don: "That's the Weiner-Mobile, Roc-star"...
Rocco: "Oh yeah... Hey let's go find the Bun-mobile... get 'em together with the Mustard-mobile... and..."

Don: "Forget it, Rocco"...
Rocco: "Okay, How about these guys then...?"

"Hey, a 50-caliber machine gun"...

"I need one of these for the side car"

"How about 'two of these' for the sidecar instead..?"

Time for a break....

"Beer, it's a good thing." I think Martha Stewart said that...

"Ice cream is good too"... Rocco said that...

"I don't believe it... cops and handcuffs... again !!"

Tick-tock... the day wears on... the beer wears off...

Time to call it a day and head for home... (she's no angel).

"Okay, where'd we park?... Damn beer and ice cream screws me up every time"...

"Bye Girls"...

Time to put the old tonneau cover on episode 2... and to call it a day...

and so ends another... "excellent adventure."
